GCTENA Meeting - Thursday, May 17th, 7pm

Thursday, May 17, 2012, 7:00pm - 8:30pm at Harkness Elementary School, 2147 54th Avenue (at Hogan Drive).

Join us at this quarterly meeting. There will be refreshments and lots of information. You will hear from the candidates for mayor of Sacramento. Each candidate will have a brief opportunity to share why they should be mayor of Sacramento; we are asking each to be available following the meeting to answer audience questions.

Harkness Principal Eric Chapman will update the community on school happenings and student activities. And, on Wednesday, May 30th, beginning at 6:00pm, the community is invited to join parents as student projects are showcased.  Last year's event was astounding.  Students at every grade level from kindergarten to sixth grade presented their work, which involved research, writing, art, analysis, and public speaking.  Not to be missed!

Local historian Gretchen Steinberg will discuss our neighborhood's architectural legacy and the enduring popularity of mid-century modern style which is found throughout Golf Course Terrace Estates.
