Neighborhood Watch

Your help is needed:
Although, dozens of your neighbors have volunteered, many streets still need Block Captains.  Our goal is to have at least 100 block captains so the effort is spread out throughout the neighborhood.  If you'd like to volunteer or need more information, contact your Neighborhood Association by emailing gctena@gmail.com.

Neighborhood Watch:

Means neighbors look out for each other.

Helps everyone reduce the risk of being vandalized at home, in cars, and on the streets.

Teaches everyone the importance of recognizing suspicious activity and sounds, how to evaluate them and report them.

Encourages neighbors to get to know each other and their neighborhood so that any out of place activity will be noticed and reported and investigated.

Is a program to communicate important information quickly.

Is an effort to better protect our schools and children.

Is about neighbors working on many issues that affect everyone.

But,
It is not a vigilante force trying to police the neighborhood.

It is not a guarantee that there will be no crime in our neighborhood.

It is not a program where you take a large risk to deter crime.
